RCEURO - NEW IDENTITY

I talked recently about our rebuild and rebranding project following the Beta launch of Recruitment Community Europe during the Global Recruitment Conference 2009 in Amsterdam.

Well, at 2am local time on Monday, RCEURO went live.  Rather than run a couple more weeks on the development platform, we have moved everything into live production. Naturally, that means that we will still be doing some bug fixes and tweaks over the next few weeks, and I am sure that our visitors will be quick to point out any issues (Please!).  We now want to build out the community from our base of 2000 members to reach 5000 by the summer.

We need the vendors. agencies, HR and recruitment community to come on over, register, join or start up groups and start contributing content articles and blogs.

What a year this will be.

Following my own advice

I recently presented at The Recruitment Conference, hosted by Recruitment Consultant Magazine on how companies should be using social networks to promote their business. Naturally, as in the Cobbler's Shoes story, I had not updated the Abtech Website and still have not set up my FaceBook and LinkedIn company pages.

Of course, my time has been consumed with Keith as we are preparing Version 2 design and functionality of Recruitment Community Europe, which should hit the air in the next few weeks. We have taken on board comments and suggestions from a wide range of our community on the Beta site we launched in November. We are really excited about the new look and will be really ramping up our membership drive and have a lot of great content in the can for the launch.

Meanwhile, back at Abtech, we have launched our Business Brand Social Network Consulting and Training services. Full details on the web site - or contact me directly.

Abtech provides a range of options to assist your organisation in maximising the reach of social and business networks such as LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter in the UK and national specific networks such as Hyves (Holland), Xing (Germany) and Viadeo (France).

We offer ½ day and 1 day in-house workshops for those organisations who already have a basic understanding and knowledge of social media. The workshop approach will show you how to set-up the right tools, use them to maximum effect to promote your business and learning what can and cannot be done.

Recruitment Community Europe website launched

Well we took the covers off our RCE Beta site last week at the conclusion of Global Recruitment Conference 2008

Check out the About Us section for an introduction to our goals and aspiration to build a truly EMEA wide recruitment community, one that is for all constituents and that will take advantage of both community, user generated content and commentary, complemented by a series of physical events which bring the virtual network to a face-to-face experience.

Check us out, sign up and participate.

SlideShare on LinkedIn and other arenas.

Hi

As we prepare for the launch of Recruitment Community Europe, I am trying out different technology links and ideas.

LinkedIn has announced a wide range of new embedded applications, widgets and other tools. So, I have signed up for SlideShare, added the app to my LinkedIn profile, uploaded a presentation I made earlier this year the the Recruitment Consultant conference and, Hey Presto! there it is on both sites. Now have added the SlideShare badge to my Blog on the RCE site and it links back to the presentation.

So, next step is to see if I can put the badge on this blog.

Comments everywhere please!
