What is happening in e-recruitment blogging?
Wow, miss a few weeks from reading all of the blogs and look what you miss.
Jason Davis and friends have kicked off a really cool idea: Blog Swap
Which, of course, I have missed out on - but my old mate Mike Taylor has gotten into. Mike has been around since the earliest days of web recruiting at Nokia here in Europe - and was a great wing man for many of my presentations in the 'how to do online recruitment' seminar series here in the UK. Check out his blog on the CIPD recruitment/retention survey. If nothing else, it shows how slow progress is by the main HR industry body in actually surveying the right things about e-recruitment.
The UK scene is hotting up. Engage and Jobster are moving forward to promote the ever expanding Jobster offerings to large UK companies. The ATS vendors are looking around for new ground, including the RPO space. Peter Gold is about to bring out a review of ATS penetration in the retail sector, which will make for very interesting reading - somewhat depressing in that he thinks only about 30% or so of the largest UK retailers actually have something which might be called an applicant tracking system.
OK, so I'll try to be back in the saddle more often. Particularly if the weather holds - after all I am sitting in my garden (lawn to you folks in North America), using wireless and drinking a glass of Lindauer!
